My dad and I went to Houston and got my visa taken care of, the last thing on the stressful list of official things to take care of before I leave.
I have so much to be thankful for this Christmas; I am so fortunate to be able to have the opportunity to study in France next semester and to have a supportive family.
I am also so happy to announce that I am now engaged! That should be a fun twist for my study abroad experience, but I couldn't be happier.
Just one month until departure. Cannot be more excited about my life.
Merry Christmas!

Booked!
Booked my airplane ticket today! Larissa and I will be on the same flight out of Dallas to Paris, then we'll make our way down to Clermont for the short film festival.
It's getting so so exciting and getting so real now!
Cant wait to get on that plane and say "Bonjour" to France!

Pre-Departure
Today was our pre-departure meeting for all the students traveling to France next semester. One other girl is going to Clermont so I think we are going to try and travel together.
It was really exciting hearing from the returned students. They offered some really great advice on packing and enrolling and traveling.
I can't wait to go. It's coming up so quickly and there is still so much to do! I'm going to Houston in about a month to finish my visa process; a feat that is making me slowly rip all my hair out. Once that is taken care of and my flight is finally booked, it should be smooth sailing!

3 Months!
Three months from today my classes at l'UPB (L'Université Blaise Pascal) start. I'm pretty excited. I got an email from an adviser there who said that I will probably be getting a renovated room with my own bathroom, rather than a communal bathroom, as well as a kitchen to share with my floor.
I''m working on my Visa application, I have to wait until I get my official acceptance from l'UBP to complete the visa process. The waiting game is getting frustrating. But it'll be worth it once I'm there!

Application
I'm using this blog to update about my study abroad experience in France next semester. I don't want to be hitting Facebook up every ten minutes with a new status so this is a good alternative.
